ChannelFireball.com is proud to present

Grand Prix San Jose

Start the year off right by joining us in San Jose this January for ChannelFireball’s first GP of 2017! GP San Jose takes place just one week after the release of Aether Revolt, so you’ll have the opportunity to show off your skills in a fresh Limited environment. If you’re a Constructed specialist, pick up a Fanatic Package and spend the weekend playing your favorite format in our side events! Either way, you’ll want to spend all three days with us, as you’ll need that time to visit all our vendor and artist booths, meet the Pro Players, check out the side events, and more. Space in the main event is limited to 2,000 players, so preregister now to secure your spot!

Got Questions?

Check out our Grand Prix FAQ, where we’ve compiled some of the most common questions about our events. If your question isn’t answered there, send an email to events@channelfireball.com.

Playmat Information

Official Grand Prix Magic Playmat

Our Grand Prix events always feature exclusive Ultra PRO playmats with beautiful art, and Grand Prix San Jose is no exception! The Grand Prix San Jose playmat features Adam Paquette’s art for Mechanized Production, a new card from Aether Revolt!

There are four ways to get your hands on this exclusive playmat:

  • Purchase the Main Event Package, a Fanatic Package, or a VIP upgrade
  • Play in an Early Bird Last Chance Trial, launching on Friday between 10 AM and Noon

Not interested in the main event? Can’t make the start time? Want to play other formats? No problem! ChannelFireball is working on an amazing Side Events Schedule so you can play Magic all weekend! We’ll have that schedule for you as soon as it’s finished, so check back here for more information.

NEW Double-Up Events!

Every day, we’ll offer Double-Up events in Standard, Modern, and Legacy. These events will feature twice our normal prizes for a side event, with the entry fee set at LESS than twice the price! If that wasn’t enough value for you, we’re giving each player that enters a Double-Up Event an exclusive Progenitus Grand Prix Promo!

We’ll have more information about Double-Up Events, including times, prizes, and pricing, very soon.

Meet the ChannelFireball Pros!

Grand Prix San Jose will feature a group of ChannelFireball’s sponsored professional Magic players who will be on hand to enhance your GP experience! You can meet the pros at the following events on Friday:

Friday, January 27th

Spellslinging

Times TBD

Ever wanted to match wits with one of the best players in the world? Well, now you can! On Friday afternoon, our featured professional players will be accepting challengers. Bring a Constructed deck and get ready to battle – if you manage to win, you’ll receive an extra prize. No entry fee is required for Spellslinging; just get in the queue, and when your time comes, make sure to bring your A-game!

Bounty Event

Time TBD

On Friday evening, we’ll be hosting the Foiled Again! Bounty Event, a four-round Sealed Deck Event where you can win Prize Tix and foil promo cards based on your record. Some of our pro players will be entering the event as well, so we’ve put a bounty out on them! If you get paired against one of our sponsored pros and you win the match, you’ll receive extra Prize Tix to commemorate your victory.

VIP Party

Time TBD

The exclusive VIP party is your best chance to mingle with our pro players as well as other Magic celebrities. Anyone who purchases the VIP Upgrade to their registration will be invited to this event, which will feature food, an amazing roster of personalities for our VIPs to meet and talk to, and a LIVE episode of Magic TV!

Check back soon for more information on the pro players and personalities attending GP San Jose!

Cosplayers

The Magic community has attracted many talented cosplayers, and ChannelFireball is proud to feature a roster of cosplayers at our Grand Prix events. We’ll have more information about our featured cosplayers soon!
